Another Quad Tip Question - Offset quad-tip inlet
I searched the forum and couldn't find the information needed so here goes.
The car is a 2010 Camaro SS with Borla Type S exhaust. I'd like to install quad tips with the least amount of work. I've read the previous threads for the quad tip installations and ordered the 1LE diffuser. It looks to me that an offset quad-tip could be installed which would make installation easier. I found this and other similar offset inlet quad tips on EBAY. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Offset....c100677.m4598 Once I get the diffuser installed I'll take some measurements and see if this is feasible, basically, will the tips be approximately centered in the opening. Has anyone done something similar? |

It is a pain in the a$$. I did it on my previous camaro ss than the one that I have now. I actually spent less money on a used npp exhaust on the camaro that I have now than, getting the right tips and then having them welded on. It took me 3 different times to get the right look with the quad diffuser. I’m picky when it came to the look

Well I decided on the ssclones quad tips, 3.5" outlets. Just removed the old diffuser which was a PITA. Fought with it for 2 or 3 hours yesterday and could not get any of the diffuser tabs to release. Used WD40 and got the 3 tabs towards each edge out but the 4 middle ones would not come out. Finally bit the bullet and removed the bumper cover. So much easier even by myself but an extra pair of hand would have helped. Should have done that from the start. This forum is a wealth of information.
The new diffuser can't go on until the exhaust is off since it will contact the existing tips. Hopefully the shop can get me in this week so the exhaust can be modified for the new tips. |

This would be the perfect time to consider upgrading to LEDs for your reverse lights, or at the least swapping in some new bulbs.
Those tips look very nice. I wish I could add proper quad tips to my car but I have GFX diffuser. The only quad tips that fit are from Stainless Works and they are tiny.

I ordered the same quad tips for my 14 because the exhaust was so close to the outside edge of diffuser. Worked fine . just had to paint inside black .

Quad tips are done!!
I doubt it's the case but the exhaust seems a little louder or deeper. I know that's really not likely but I'm going with it. |

Yeah man, that really does look great. I love my GFX diffuser but I hate how you can only fit small tips in it.
