You could always "purchase a vacation home" and register your cars to that address...

In fact, I just so happen to call TSP about smog because I'm heading to Germany soon and inquired about whether or not their high flow cats would pass a sniffer, all things considering, if I were strapped to a smog machine in California. They were far more concerned with whether or not my cam was stock as that would have had a much greater impact than their high flow cats - that is, if my tune were able to cover up a really, really small cam with virtually no lope. The lope alone would cause you to fail.

There are plenty of options that can be done within the boundaries of Smog legality. As USAF said- CARB approved CAI, shorty header, and catback with a tune will work great! You would have to run a very mild cam to still pass smog, and it would not really be worth the money to most people for the minimal power gain.

Supercharger in CA???
Hello Members, I'm brand new to the Camaro Forum but was a Corvette Forum member for 10 years.
I just picked up a 2010 Camaro SS (Auto) stock w/43K miles on her and i'm leaning towards the, Kenne Bell 2.8LC Mammoth Supercharger. * TS9008-2.8LC KIT $7299.00 8-14 PSI KIT (2010 UP LS3, L99) INTERCOOLED (COMPLETE KIT) 2.8LC LIQUID COOLED This will be my 1st Supercharger and my goal is to stay under 600 hp and not have to spend much more in upgrades except for these two oter mods that I have bought but not put on yet..... • BORLA Cat-Back Exhaust ATAK part #140356 • Detroit Speed Inc. Speed Kit 2. I live in CA so the Emissions Natzes factor into my mod decisions. Feedback always welcome even neg. (I have a thick skin). Last edited by SS hp; 06-04-2016 at 11:44 AM. |

LSA supercharger? It's gotta be CARB legal so you could also go that route. Check ADM Performance for the info

Your in the Bay Area. First thing you should do is get a very good theft deterrent.
Camaros are getting stolen left and right up there. Number one stolen car in that area! Very professional thiefs can get in your car and disable everything and drive off with it in 60 seconds. |

Or just pay $20 extra for a "fake" smog. That's what we did for the 5 years I was stationed in Southern California
