Have A Bra, BUT Your State Requires A Front Plate? No problem!!!...

Here's an easy fix for you. It's better than buying aftermarket products that require drilling like the Hide-A-Plate, Show 'n' Go, etc., a bracket that requires laying on the ground to loosen screws so you can take it off for car shows, or even drilling holes through your lisence plate to access the screws on your Aeroplate.

I wish I had thought of this BEFORE I had drilled holes through my front plate.

This works great without the bra for just cruising around town too.

Here's what you'll need...

  1. GM Supplied Aeroplate
  2. 3M Automotive Tape
  3. Scissors
  4. Box Cutter, Exacto Knife, or Razor Blade
  5. 4 packs of Nikel-Sized Craft Magnets from Hobby Lobby(picture shows only 2 packs) for $5.99 each. They have a 40% off coupon in the Sunday paper every week or download their app.
Use ***EXTREME CAUTION*** these are extremely powerful magnets, will pinch your skin, and cause bleeding!!! Yes, I speak from experience.

First, roll out your 3M Tape and push magnets on them so they stick.

Next, take your box cutter, exacto knife, or razor blade and trim excess 3M Tape off. You don't have to, but I'm pretty anal about things.

Next, you'll attach your magnets with the 3M Tape to the back side of the GM Aeroplate next to the portrusions that go through the grill.

Next, install the Aeroplate on the grill of your car, take 4 more magnets, and attach them to the front of your Aeroplate with more 3M Tape(I chose not to for these pictures). Don't worry, the magents will find their "partner" for the location. ***WATCH YOUR FINGERS***!!!

Finally, put your bra or NoviStretch Bra on your car as you normally would, hold your lisence plate up, and use the final 4 magnets to attach your plate.

Use 3M Tape to attach the magnets to the back of your plate for a cleaner look.

In all, you'll have 3 magnets at each corner holding your plate on.

***We've driven over 350 spirited and interstate trouble free miles with the lisence plate mounted like this and it has stayed in place.***

SPECIAL NOTE: This WILL NOT cause ANY cooling issues running the Aeroplate with the NoviStretch Bra.

What's the top speed of the Stingray?

I plead the 5th.

Let's just say after the 150 mile "test drive", there were no issues with the plate coming off or even moving.

The magnets are VERY strong!!!

Dang those are very strong magnets........I got a guy about a year ago with a fake lic plate on the front....it looked it but he said he hadn't been stopped......it was made out of a real light aluminum like a beer can....and was a little smaller- that was the key ....but he had it mounted to a bra....it had a metal pole top and bottom that had been sewn in to hold it in place..it was his real tag number and stuff.....

You have to give the guy points for at least trying to stay legal.

They are VERY strong!!! They're just the size of a nikel, but have a strength rating of 10. Go by Hobby Lobby and check them out.

BTW, these are the plated ones and not the standard black magnets. The black ones are terribly weak.

I unintentionally pinched the skin on my left ring finger between two of them while putting them on and it started bleeding.

Not to mention it hurt like blazes!
