Hey guys, didn't get to make it down to Watkins Glenn unfortunately, had prior plans.. :( the Fiance and I were wondering if there was any more events coming up possibly near central NY?

Were going to Maryland in June & Oshawa. Canada to the BBOMG the last year for the Camaro to be built there. We will be doing a lot of car shows around the area. Apple Fest in Hilton and Olcott Beach out by Buffalo. Probably 2 more trips to Watkins Glen to run the cars. Keep checking in on the club calendar for list of shows.

For the second year in a row UpstateC5 makes the news. More amazing was that Vegas made the TrackTime broucher.

Hi everybody. I saw your cars at Watkins Glen yesterday. Some of you had Upstate C5 stickers, and that led me here.

I'm buying my wife a white 2015. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I ended up screwing that up (long story).

We were admiring you cars, in particular checking out the graphics customizations.

At first, she fell for the purple stripes. She loved that car. Then (sorry, purple), she spotted this car. Orange (pic makes it look red)....... We want to add stripes just like this to her car:

Are those factory stripes? Is there really any such thing as "factory" stripes, or are all factory stripes just decals?

We don't yet have the car. Dealer is searching still. Once we get it, what's a good local (Syracuse area) place to get something like this done? Also, if we go aftermarket with stripes, what is the long-term expectation of the stripes holding up? I expect we'll have this car many years (20+).

That car is a 2011 SLP package. The stripes are painted on at SLP. Stripes from the factory are vinyl. They hold up well. Not sure about aftermarket. Depends on vendor and quality.

It was good to see everyone Saturday. For those who did a third set of laps and are wondering what was going on, the answer is obvious. We were behind a group of Mustangs, lol. There was a silver vert with the top down and a couple in it out for a Sunday cruise at the track. Behind him was a red vert. Silver dude lost the field because he never went above 60. At the end of the back straight on the 2nd lap, I started laying back so we could get some distance between us and salvage that lap. Just before they got out of sight I saw the red stang had had enough and passed silver dude. In the boot I stood on it to give us a good run through the final turns and down the front straight where I caught up to him again in turn 1. My plan at that point was to Dale Earnhardt his ass until he either sped up or got off the track. That's why you saw a silver Mustang vert off the track in the boot, allowing us to salvage the end of lap 3.
Too bad we didn't have another set. Would've been hilarious if his old lady would get out of his car and get into one of ours.
