Got 2.6 on the front on stock bolts at a local dealership with no issues. Just asked them to max it up front. 1.6 rears.
Find a good race/track shop per Provoste recommendations - that's your best bet given your dealer is less than cooperative or perhaps they just don't know any better. And frankly not many dealers do track alignments - albeit mine was just fine with it. |

When I had my Mustang, I had to drive 2 hrs each way to long Island to have a fellow NASA racer do simple stuff like springs/shocks and tune. On my Vette I resigned myself with running with -1 front camber for 3 years. But Camaro has a ton more weight up front, and front tires are a lot more expensive than the skinny 245/19s on the Vette. |

The local dealer (who does not want to try the alignment) was really good to me when I kept on bringing my C7 Vette back with melted NPP/AFM parts due to track heating. So I was trying to keep the relationship going. I think I'll go to Jannetty - just have to find a day to take off from work. |

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and ideas.
Follow up question: Once set, does the negative camber hold over multiple track events or does it have to be reset often? Given that my alignment shop will be 1hr away it is good to know. |

I just re-did my alignment after several days at the track. Camber stayed the same. Toe was completely off. Other members reported similarly.

-2.4 after dealer elongated holes. Charged $350. Be aware of what they may try to pull..

That's probably his way of saying when you break it at the track we won't warranty that either.

I think some dealers have no clue about GM fully warranting track duty on such cars. Unless they sell tons of these vehicles they proly just don't know. Simple.
My local winter dealer does trucks only pretty much. That's what they sell and that's what they know. If I were to service my car with them I'd have to sit down with the manger or the owner, GM manuals in hand and explain everything to them first in including what a 1le is. I am 2+ hrs away from my mechanic but don't mind it as track cars is what he does. But as said before I had an alignment done at My summer dealer and they knew it was a special car and treated it as such. Zero complains. Excellent service. So I'd say it all depends on what they sell etc. |

Thanks to Tony @JannettyRacing I'm now at -2.4F/-1.6R camber.
It was not cheap, but it was meticulously done. As a bonus I got to compare my 6th gen 1LE with a 5th gen that was parked right in front of it. Posting here for your viewing pleasure. The 6th gen looks a lot shortner next to a 5th gen. |

Glad you got it done. Have they also checked your suspension for ya?

I didn't have much of chance to drive it after the alignment (was on the phone, due to work the whole time), but I'm actually shocked that tramlining does not appear to have gotten any worse with all the additional neg camber. The print out of the "before" alignment, if you/I believe it could have explained a lot of the weirdness I was feeling. Hint: It was FUBAR. I'll take a picture and post below. |

I was given the print out below as "this is how bad your car was before we aligned it".
I don't have total confidence that this is accurate, as I believe I'd feel this much cross camber. But if true, that negative toe and cross camber would be a mess. |
