Insurance costs?

My Mosaic Black A10 will be here in a week or two. I called on insurance prices and was quoted $2047 per year, $1000 deductible. Clean driving record. I have a 2008 Corvette and the same company charges me $773/year.

What is everyone paying for insurance?

I had the GT350 and the ZL1 made it go up $40 a month to $240 monthly. $500 deduct. I am assuming there is a horsepower threshold and it made it go up.

My insurance for the ZL1 is actually lower than my 2012 RS for same coverage. I have 250k/500k with $250 deductibles. Progressive was cheapest this time. Think i am paying for 2 drivers; $1500/6 months for 2012 camaro RS, 2013 Cruze LTZ, and my new 2017 ZL1. Had i upped my deductibles or lowered my coverage i would have been much less, but I think my rate is decent.

I don't think it's the horsepower. My Hellcat was actually cheaper than the ZL1. The difference was very small though.

Could be. There was another person on here that theirs went up the same $40 as me. Maybe I need another quote

863 a year.

This car is cheaper than my 09 G8, 15 Mazda and 2000 GMC in every category except collision which is where it is significantly more.

I asked the agent why its cheaper everywhere for a sports car like this and she said its because its "newer, so its safer"

Car insurance costs are a joke. The policy I had when I bought the ZL1 was over 5k a year, full coverage. It was stupid, switched to another carrier, dropped by more than half. Makes absolutely no sense.

If you are not using it as your daily driver and you are over 24 years of age do yourself a favor and get Collector Car insurance. This way it's "Agreed value" I am paying $540 a year for my 2017 SS Convertible with an Agreed value of $54k from Grundy Collector Car Insurance, $0 Deductible, 500k/500k.

Agreed value means what you and Grundy Agree to is what you will get in the event of a total loss, vs. Market Value from normal car insurance
