A Camaro will never compete at Chevy in new car sales with a Corvette, unless a Vette is introduced with four seats. Now compete in terms of performance - the ZR1 is one heck of a benchmark.

the LSA hasn't been decided on. that's just a general census of the rumor mill. GM might release a new engine in the Z28. we don't know because they haven't released specs or official word they are even doing it.

I was told the expected delivery date to GM was by the 3rd week of March and he thinks production will start in 2011. I've worked with the contact for years and believe what this person says because he's got no reason to lie to me and he stated this as fact. Sounds to me like GM is ramping up production of Camaro Z28 test cars! At the very least this tells me that a Z28 is definitely in the works and already under testing
Thirteen to sixteen driveshafts doth not make a ready for production model run......sorry another false start.

If this is accurate then it would be prototypes or best case perproduction (too small a number that would be 100). Best case it will be a 2012 model.

2012 models come out in 2011. and quite a few people believe it will be out next year. late next year. . .and that would be a 2012 model. lol.

An early release of a 2012 for a Camaro, that would never happen. When did the 2010 Camaro get released?

Really quick prediction.....the SS model will get the LSA and the Z/28 will get a small block 302......just a guess. The Mustang has the Coyote Engine so logically Chevy has to respond with a similar engine...hence the 302. Also the LSA can compete with the GT500.

I don't see the displacement going down until the 6th Gen. Just my prediction.

I would meet you in the middle. How about a 12 bolt with IRS and 4:11 gears? You can keep the rock crusher
