1/4 ET: 14.9982
1/4 MPH: 92.98

I used the DA calculator and it spit out:
Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
14.453 @ 96.555 MPH

Is that really accurate?

Also....ok, this is probably a dumb question, but would taking my sub boxes out have that much of an effect....they probably weigh 80lbs total. I was going to try it, but I didn't have any place to put them at the track.

Not bad in that heat.

Work on that 60ft time and you will do even better.

Yes, the DA calculator is a good indicator to equalize the playing field for everyone; temp, altitude, etc.

Rule of thumb on weight is for every 100lb. reductions is worth a 0.1 drop in the 1/4 mile time.

So with the boxes out you would have seen 14.3xx. with the DA correction. Drop 0.2 in the 60 ft time and you would be closing in on the 13.9's for corrected time too.

Thanks!!! I really appreciate the help!!! I found last night my best times were launching from idle in drive, not sport, with TC on. Got any suggestions on making the 60' faster? I wasn't rolling into the throttle, just punching it....only got wheel spin once. No burnouts last night....I'm afraid of hurting my tires. :( LOL

Your welcome.

I warm my tires up doing a burnout with traction control off. Then roll to the line. Put traction control back on. I am in Sport mode but let the car do the shifting. Take it to 1000 rpm's. One foot on the brake one foot on the gas. When the bottom yellow lights I release the brake and floor the gas. My 60 ft. was 2.027 when I ran my best 1/4 of 13.783 @ 103.40. Using stock 19's 245/50/19.

Hope this helps.

Took the Camaro to the track for the first time last night. It's still bone stock. I've only had it for 3 weeks.

1LT/RS A6

Best time was a 14.83 @ 94.14

Nice. Work on that 60' and you'll see you time go down. Not at all bad for your first time.

Thanks. A few of my 60' times were a bit higher (2.23, 2.25). 2.18 was about the best 60' time I could get out of it. That was TC and Stabilitrak off and flashing to about 1000 RPM and punching it. I didn't spin on the launch, so I'm not sure what else I could do to get it down as far as technique goes. I guess I could stall it higher, but it seems like a higher stall bogs it down on the launch, which is consistent with what others seem to be saying on here.

I really just wanted to get a stock time to compare to after mods. I plan on picking up a Vararam intake if/when they come out, a catback, and a tune. I'll probably pick up long tubes after that. I may even go with the 3.55's in the rear, as I think that's the only option for the A6 on this car. If they had 3.73's, that'd be perfect, but I'm not swapping the rear to get them.

What I really wish is that HPTuners would work on this ECM. I know of Vince from my days in the Cobalt scene. I have nothing against him. I just would rather be able to tune myself with HPT than load a shipped tune.

EDIT: Speaking from experience, these autos could really benefit from a trans tune. I'm sure Trifecta has some ability to do that, I haven't really looked into it yet. I know on a 2.4L Cobalt SS auto we dropped half a second with a trans tune alone, and this car feels even lazier with the shifts than that car.

A few of us who have the trans tune and did some 1/4 mile runs have found that the tune feels better but never really improved the 1/4 mile times.

Most A6 are having better luck leaving the TC and stabilitrak on. Other than that, your technique seems to be right there with what others are doing. 2.18 is not bad at all, so I think you are doing fine. CatMan can come in here and do a DA correction and you might find your time is much better than it appears.

The tranny tune from Vince is awesome. No doubt it will help you. The shifts are firmer and you can remove quite a bit of torque management.

Corrected DA:

14.617 @ 95.56

Not bad at all.

Even uncorrected you are in the top 5 for bone stock.

You da man CatMan!

It's nice to see more people running stock. Seems like most of us modded our cars right away. Now if X would finish up training we we can update the lists

Thanks guys. I'm happy with that, especially with the RS 20's on the car.

Its a good starting point for sure. And it reinforces my belif that the manual is up to .5 tenths faster stock for stock, which is why I want to see more manuals with mods hitting the track.
