New UCF area owner - 2016 Blue Velvet Camaro 1SS LT1+NPP
New UCF (Oviedo, FL) area owner - 2016 Blue Velvet Metallic Camaro 1SS LT1 V8 with the NPP dual-mode exhaust with the new, 8-speed automatic transmission.
I traded in my 6th generation, 2009 Cyber Gray Metallic Corvette Coupe Z51 LS3+NPP. I was going back and forth on whether or not to get a 7th Generation Corvette (C7), but decided I'd trade my C6 Z51 now, while it's still worth something, and get this car my wife would enjoy, and I'll look at a C7 later. I prefer manuals, but the 2016 Camaro doesn't offer the rev matching 7-speed from the C7, so we went with the 8-speed auto. Damn it upshifts smooth when passing and I'm not missing the manual much at all. I drove the C7 Z51 with 7-speed manual at Ron Fellows last April, and this thing really matches the performance of my older C6 Z51, and isn't too far from the C7 Z51. The NPP dual-mode exhaust on this is unreal, sounds just like the same C7 LT1+NPP. The 1SS is definitely a great value, as I don't think the HUD, Bose and Seats in the 2SS is really worth the extra $5K. P1030573 by Bryan Smith, on Flickr |

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
