Allen just released the ball. I have circled it in red. If Allen leads Diggs, there is no way the defender in the middle of the hashes catches up, and he has a blocker for the other defender. And the defender on the top sideline is running up field, covering the outside route.

So as you can clearly see Diggs has just cleared the safety with the Ball already out and Jones is in his lap.

I like his decision here and if he had 1/10th of a second more to throw the Chiefs need a TD to retake the lead.

Here’s the play before the throw and just after release. Brother, Josh made the wrong read. He threw into double coverage. Doesn’t matter if the wr ended up open. It was 2nd & 9. Blown coverage on Diggs the whole way.

The closest the safety got was 4yds, but then backed off while Allen still had the ball in his hand. The last pic is Allen winding up and about to release the ball.

Josh has good numbers before Diggs got there with a bunch of washed up has been WR's.

Diggs was supposed to propel the team to the next level.

I would credit your young WR's development to having Robert Woods in your WR room.

Bob is a pro's pro and a great mentor for the young guys.

There is a clear difference in Allen’s numbers when Diggs got there. Which is not a dig at Allen. Pun intended. Any and all qb’s will have better numbers with a star wr1.

Maybe pull a shot of where Shakir is when the ball lands in the end zone. Pretty sure he cleared both DB's by at least 3-4 yards and if Dawkins isn't standing on Josh's foot he most likely completes that for the go ahead TD.

Oh, he was wide the F open but that is irrelevant. When he decided to throw the ball, he was double covered there was no way he would know that he was going to be open.
