Most higher end sports cars and luxury cars have floor mounted pedals. Look at pictures of Ferraris and Lamborghinis...Economy cars have overhung pedals (as does the Mustang).

My foot pivots at ankle.. not at the toe.

Of all things.. that is one I never considered to be an *issue*

Don't care as long as there's 3 pedals!

It doesn't bother me in the slightest. Now, if I had a manual transmission vehicle and the clutch was somehow mounted on the floor like that, I'd be a bit thrown off but, I'd get used to it. But, with manual transmissions, I shift by extending and retracting my thigh, not by actuating my ankle. I've come across a lot of folks in my life that use primarily their ankle and I find that to be a really curious thing.

Didn't notice it for awhile

It was couple weekends before I noticed it. I like it alright but took a little getting used to. Trying to get used to moving foot and concentrating on throttle control with small movements rather than stomping my whole leg thru the floor
