Well said. Back when I was having my old GTO and G8 worked on, I really couldn't have cared less about the actual dyno numbers. To the point where I even forgot to ask at times. Unless you are bench racing or trying to put something in your car forum signature, no one should really give a shit.

SAE says I make 450 on a dyno jet and STD is 470 lol Dyno numbers are just that...... numbers. I use the dyno to tune and smooth out the curve and the send it at the track where real results are.

According to GPI yes, This is the email I sent and response I got from them,
( What do you think i'd be pushing with this setup on 93octane? Max Package (62CC,a 232/254 cam on a 106 IC VVT) Plus the atomic manifold,Long tubes, 25%udp, and intake/exhaust? We made 520 wheel on a manual trans on 93 with this exact set up. It made 542 on E-85. Yours should be with in 2 or 3 % of that with an auto.) Honestly i'm just happy hitting 500, anything more is just a huge bonus lol

Yep, I said the same thing...for about 6 months. Really, 550 isn't a lot more than 425 in terms of seat of the pants. Jump that number up to more than 750 and it's a whole new experience...

You're going to have to be a strong S.O.B to stay happy @ 500hp. I thought I would be @ 485, 605, 640 and now 760. Wrong!!!

Yes, We have done it with a few setups on SBE LS3/L99 stuff. My current setup is over 560 rwhp with out ported LS3 heads, and doing it through a TH400.

At what expense are you willing to take to get 500wrhp. Other than spraying it is a very good way to get 500wrhp without major problems.
