The thing is, it's not happening through the whole log, just when the fuel pressure drops on a WOT 3rd gear run. I tried gas from out of town (sunoco) and octane booster (lucas), it didn't pull as much timing but it still happened at the same point. That's when I started looking at other possibilities and found the fuel pressure drop.

Update: Ran with stock ECU, it had more knock retard than the mail order tune, and the fuel pressure behaved the same. I asked the dealership if the fuel pressure drop is normal and they say it is. So now I'm getting about 60/40 saying not normal vs normal. Clear as mud.

I disagree fuel pressure should remain steady, this is a problem with many Gen5 camaros.

We have fuel pump control module that helps this significantly.

I take timing out in areas of the timing map where the factory has too much timing.

Low fuel pressure can lead to knock retard we see it often.

Ted.

My factory tune had more knock in it than is commonly accepted from tuners. Figure out your FP before chasing anymore knock.
