Better to buy kit or go to shop?

I was looking at an exhaust setup from a shop to replace the rusted broken current stock exhaust. But they quoted me 570 dollars not including tips. But I was looking at a kit that will have from the cats back to the tips included for 635 dollars. Which is the best to get?

If I was you I'd spend the extra cash and get the kit. It would be easier to sell that than it would be a custom setup.

Go with the cat back or buy a used mig welder and teach yourself.( thats what I ended up doing and am very happy I did!) Either way don't use the shop. So is a c5 in your future? Im looking to get a 68 vette as a project here soon.

Get the kit! I actually went to a very reputable exhaust shop in the area to see about getting a muffler delete and the guy actually talked me out of it and to get a delete kit. He said he'd hate to cut up and "booger" up anything on a car this nice. Said if I did have him do it it would be with cheap aluminized and to get a proper kit made out of stainless. That price they quoted you was rediculous. Spend the extra cash and get a full new exhaust that will look and sound better!
