Lost pressure, windshield washer.

Hey all.

I barely have any pressure when I use my windshield washer fluid. A small amount actually sprays onto the windshield, and the majority of it just pours out of the sprayers onto the bottom of the windshield, completely wasting it.

I installed my CAI intake basically the week after I got the car in August.

I don't know if this problem was apparent before I touched the intake.

Would there be something I may have unplugged/unhooked or anything when installing the intake that caused it to lose pressure?

Cheers

Mine always only sprays on the lower third of the windshield. The 2010 I used to have id have to worry about it spraying people walking by the side of my car. Cause it got way up there.

Could be a loss of power to the pump, causing the pump to barely work.
Could be clogged/frozen nozzles.
Could be a small hole or loose fitting in the system allowing pressure to escape.
Could be corroded connectors.

The nozzle aim can be adjusted.

Hmm..

Issue was occuring before freezing temps.

Clogged? Possibly..

Those other things? Maybe.

Its not something I want the dealer to look into. I'm sure they'd break something trying to figure out the problem!

On my ROTO Fab CAI, Big Gulp & WW relocate install I found that the WW line was under the CAI tray and squished. So no fluid would come out. Got the line from out of there and still no fluid. Traced the hose and found where the hose was crimped on my windshield washer line. It was where the CAI Tray had smashed it down. Thought i was gonna have to cut it and plug the line together. Used my fingers (i'm good at that) and was able to get the hose to reform to it's normal state. TA TA!!!
So check your washer line good.
