Just checked mine. All the warranty info was showing expiration 6 months sooner that it should. Mileage was correct though. Thanks Glen. I'm gonna have a conversation with the dealer.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

That's what I'm telling them. Chat with Chevy corporate says they cannot reset the clock on the warranty, that it is up to the dealer and I to work it out.

The salesman's gen'l mgr tells him it does reset when I am assigned ownership. I am inclined to believe Chevrolet corporate more.

The salesman says they will make it right. He knows I am b***s**t about this.

If they gave me one of the bumper to bumper extended warranties to take me out where things should end, I think I would accept that.

Thoughts, anyone?

The dealer can extend your warranty out and just eat the cost at the end of the warranty that you're short. The big problem is the warranty extension he offers is it's just his, when you travel in that last six months or move, Another dealer wont honor it.

Unless it is one of those aftermarket warranties, like what they try to sell you, right?

Did you guys receive some kind of warranty paper or certificate with the new car?

GM updated the my.chevrolet.com site over the weekend and the results showing up make no sense. Also, if you just took delivery it will take as much as 72 hours for all the systems to get updated before the correct In-Service date shows up according to the Service Manager I talked to.

Here's an example, our car was built 2/2016 (don't know exact date) and delivered to dealer stock. We purchased it 4/23/2016 (this last Saturday). The Chevy site says it's in service date was 8/14/2015. The dealer's computer says the In-Service date is 2/29/2016. Since a number of others are seeing the 8/14 date I'm thinking the update they did over the weekend broke something.

Here's what the site says about a car that was built 2/16......

Have them provide, in writing, that the car's in service date will be today. They will probably give you some song and dance but insist on it based on the bogus info on the GM site. Blame it on GM, don't accuse them of anything.

Also check the build date on the VIN sticker in the car. Odds are it was not built last August. In fact, I'm betting any cars in the system that have not been marked as sold and attached to a customer name will show the 8/14 date.

I checked a couple of VIN numbers for cars in transit or with high VIN numbers at other local dealers. Every one of them shows the same information as mine. I'm really thinking this is a glitch in the system or what a car shows if the sale has not been recorded in all of GM's systems.

This is what 4 cars at a local dealer shows, each VIN was above 165000, 2 of them are still in transit.

I was just about to ask about this. I just created an account to check on mine. I took delivery of mine on Saturday and it came striaght from the factory with 10 miles on it. We bought it on 4/24 not the 14th.

Any suggestions? Is this a system glitch or did the dealer do something intentional?

All the expiration dates on my listed warranties are also August 14 (various years depending on which warranty). All are six months and a few days short of what they should be as far as my purchase\delivery date of February 22.

Must be a computer glitch. I'll wait and see before discussing with the dealer.
