I hope you get out of this car, and get a new one. Some dealerships are filled with thieves.

A few things:
The key recall hold is a joke. I bought mine on 7/25, and the recall was not performed and still hasn't been performed. When they called AFTER SALE to set up the recall service, I politely declined. Nonetheless, I recommend you lose this complaint in your letter, as it is irrelevant to the matter at hand and makes you just appear to be complaining about anything and everything. Driving the car to you, as opposed to trailering, is very common. I ended up driving 300 miles to get mine. After shopping around several dealerships, each told me that, should they find the car at another dealership, they would DRIVE it to me anyway and would not haul it. So, I figured I might as well travel and get it if it was going to rack up the miles anyway, rather than let some low rent dealer smuck deliver it. If the damage can be seen on the photos before it was even delivered to you, than the means by which it was delivered also becomes irrelevant. It would only matter if you were asserting it was damaged enroute to you. As for the damage, I'm not sure what to tell you. It's a terrible situation. The problem is, you accepted it, i.e. you took delivery. Theoretically, they could deny even fixing it, but at least they are doing that. Absent hiring an attorney, it will probably be the best you will get. BTW, it is highly unlikely it will be on Carfax. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I'm not far from Koons, and I have never heard anything bad or good. |
