Getting tempting.... I think I’m still gonna let it ride. I’m up over $250k if I was to cash in today.

Yah Tesla is going broke. But that makes no difference cause he just became the richest man in the world.

I couldn't think of a better way to file for bankrupsy

Jan. 9, 2020: TSLA trading at $96.27
Jan. 8, 2021: TSLA closes at $880.02

I think they’re doing alright.

I was one of them too. Took delivery of my Model 3 LR in June. Love it.

Had to revive this thread today. Here’s what Tesla has done so far this week (and it’s only Tuesday)
  • Become only the 4th company to top $1 Trillion in value (Apple, Amazon, Alphabet/Google are the others)
  • Top selling vehicle in all of Europe last month - Tesla Model 3
  • Closed deal to sell 100,000 cars to Hertz
  • Monday, stock closed up $115.
  • Tuesday, up another $56.78 as I type this at 10:30 am

Folks that bought early did well. I’d probably sell though, as GM, Ford, et Al start producing electric cars Tesla will definitely lose market share. I think it’s overvalued now.

I missed the opportunity to buy in earlier, but I put it on my watchlist. When COVID hit, it dropped from over $800 to around $470. TSLA and several other stocks I had been watching took deep drops then. I bought heavily into seven stocks. The reasons for their deep drops had nothing to do with how the companies performed or the value of their products. Logic said when things “normalized” they would bounce back. Of those seven, the lowest gains I’m seeing is one at 55% gain. TSLA is up 1,036%.

My plan was to hold on until Cybertruck launches. Figured that would be when it peaks. Now that Cybertruck has been delayed to the point where Rivian, GM, Ford, and a few others will have BEV trucks in market before Cybertruck, I may have to focus on where it lands when the Hummer EV is available for sale.

Well my parents are going to help Elon's claim the Model Y could be the best selling vehicle soon as they just placed an order for one.

That should help your stocks a bit.....

I am still loving my Model 3. Miss the sound of a V8, but same time I am glad I am not paying $4.50 a gallon for premium right now.

Well I don't think anyone could have predicted these last few weeks. I think Tesla will be fine but don't think it'll be with Elon at the helm.

Tesla stock is stuck in its worst sell-off since the company went public in 2010

It’s not surprising when the stock has always been based off Elon than the company itself.
