Mustang Mach-E...

So it is a life sized version of an RC car. Got it. But instead of 15 minutes of play time, 45 minutes of play time.

So to make it practical and economical, Legislation needs to change the speed limit of all major highways from 70mph to 300mph so that way you get the same gas mileage as the 5.0 Mustang on something only the top 1% can afford to buy.

That is Progress... no wait...

Saw one on the highway today and someone in my garage has one.

I don't have anything against EVs, but I do NOT make enough money to afford an EV. Maybe an EV and a motorcycle....

A machE with the federal tax credit is not any more expensive than your LT1. At least in states that wave sales tax on EVs

This doesn't apply to everyone.

It has good looking front fenders, but..............

I would buy a Mustang GT or GT500 before I'd ever consider a Mach E, and...

I would never buy a Mustang before a Camaro LT, SS, 1LE or ZL1.

So you have a clue to what I think of them.

Edit: In a very rare instance that I am gifted with one, I would only accept it with a title in my name, so that I could immediately sell or trade it.

Who doesn’t it apply to?

Also the electric equinox looks like it will be similar in price to a mache after the federal tax credit

It depends on your situation. You’ll get the deduction only if you owe taxes of course and even then only to the amount you owe which may be less than $7,500 max.

Also GM has used up all their credits. The credit is phased out for them already.

Even then to say it's something only the 1% can afford is a little dramatic. Whether people like it or not electric cars are on their way here and no amount of complaining is going to change that.

A big if, you also need to limit your driving and change lifestyle. Hence why most people have an EV as an alternate car or tend to be homebodies.

Again, nothing against them and one day I do hope to be wealthy enough.

No one said its only the 1%, but they're definitely for the wealthy for the foreseeable future.

No complaint, just a bland observation.

Literally stated it in the last sentence in his post. I've seen several lower end Teslas pop up in my area so there are affordable Evs out there with more on the way.

I think the 1% comment in the original post was referring to the 1400HP car that was a joint venture with Ford. Not even close to and probably never a production EV.
