AFR help
Hey all, I've been trying to determine a few things since getting my cam done and I'm to the point where I need a wideband to continue figuring things out. In my previous thread I talked about how I dynoed at 450hp with an LS3 with my mods in my sig below. I found this to be kinda weird as a colleague of mine with a similar set up just a TSP stage 3 dynoed at ~480 with the same dyno and tuner. The car smells like it's tuned incredibly rich and I get terrible gas mileage compared to some of the others that have stated here. I was looking at picking up an AEM wideband but saw another thread about this device here.
https://www.autometer.com/dashcontro...2010-2015.html My question to everyone is will this read wideband if I connect a O2 sensor to it? How would I go about doing that and is this device good? I'd rather pay a little more to get the rest of the things it offers and its a bonus that its integrated into the dash. Thanks, Nate

I don't think your going to get an afr reading from an obd2 scanner. You need to get an afr gauge like this one.
https://www.amazon.com/AEM-30-4110-U.../dp/B00N3VGPYS Most come with an o2 sensor and an o2 bung that can be welded in. Have you contacted the tuner to see if they have afr data from your tuning session?

From the Q&A on the Autometer link you posted-
"GOOD MORNING, IS THIS UNIT CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING AIR/FUEL RATIO? Asked by: Ozzy Thank you for your question. It is capable but you will need to add a third party unit to capture AFR since the vehicle originally doesn't have that PID to be displayed. For further assistance please call our tech line at 866-248-6357. Answered by: Steve from AutoMeter Date published: 2020-01-27"

In Autometer's question/comment section. That's a neat device to read all the PIDs. Seen it advertised before.

Thanks guys, don’t know why I didn’t think to check for a Q&A section. Only saw the AFR in the ad and saw good reviews from others. Will look into that AFR gauge instead.

Get the AEM. It's worth the money. Top notch stuff. All my gauges are AEM.
