Wow. This car is freaking awesome!

Picked it up today and damn, this is a really nice ride. It's so comfortable, and angry all at once, it's awesome! I put 140 miles on it out of the dealership, and a few things that struck me immediately from my C7.
  • The ride is much more comfortable than my c7 with comp seats, and I really like the interior. It's got a simple layout that makes sense, I think it's nicely done. The nav screen angle is a little weird, but it's fine.
  • To me the exhaust is much louder, especially when you get on it. My c7 was anemic compared to this.
  • I've been driving a manual exclusively for a few years now, my daily is a manual too and I have a lot to learn about paddle shifting. The transmission seems great though. I'm looking forward to learning how to use it.
  • This car seems to have the same annoying throttle lag that my c7 had. I dunno, I didn't get into it and won't for a while so that feeling might change, but that was my first impression.
  • I must've pushed the imaginary clutch in like fifty times driving it today. For the first few stops, I kept thinking it was going to stall, and my left foot was floundering, looking for the clutch.
  • This car is outright mean looking. I brought my son with me and we walked past a row of Grand Sports and Z06's to get to my car, when he saw it for the first time his jaw dropped which made me smile. His initial comment was how mild the vette looked next to it.

I'm pumped, this is a killer car!

Yes! I know that feeling. Me and my mom both made that comment as we walked in the dealership in TX. Pictures truly don't do these cars justice, and that's a comment I hear from a LOT of people.

Enjoy it!

It's Nightfall gray, this is in Pismo Beach where it was cloudy today. I live up in Santa Rosa but picked this up in Hanford at Keller. They have another one just like it without the pdr.

Once you have it broken it play with all the modes after the tires are warm.

You'll notice no lag in track mode and less restrictions on the power to the wheels as you climb up the traction control settings. I'm really enjoying Sport 1 and 2. Full traction control lets the tires grip all day long but you can hear and feel the restrictions. The beast is caged up.

Ported tb will cure that up nicely, I went with Tony Momo myself and have enjoyed it since.

Something I noticed after putting 30k on my SS is you will not notice the screen angle after awhile. I forgot about it until I drinking one night and my wife drove and I was in the passenger seat.
