It looks like you tried to do them dry.
Didn't the instructions mention the wet water? A couple drops of liquid dish soap in pint of water in a spray bottle.

Then they won't stick until you squeegee the water out. You work out the bubbles as you go.

i used water but no soap

As he said^^^ need soap to help the bubbles to come out.

I had a guy come to the house and put mine on when I got the car about 2 years ago. I have the fend hash stripes that I want to attempt but I am to scerred I may really fowl it up.

baby shampoo (few drops) in a spray bottle would have made them come out perfect...
