It rides very firm but no where near the "death ride" that I read about on here. I test drove one Monday and I am now in a 2019 ZLE. BTW.. I just drove 350 miles from Dallas to Lubbock for work last night and Texas roads aren't the smoothest.

I would have done the ZLE if it came in A10 for a 2018. I don’t daily my Z and not bc you can’t daily either but bc I like the feeling of something special waiting in the garage and not a simple (just a car) to pick up groceries. At any rate it’s a matter of preference and pleasure. Love the Z for sure!

12,000 miles to date... daily driven. Sure, its not a camry, but fun makes up for bouncing in the seat. It would have been nice if seat belt pretensioned like some other cars.

Most of those miles on PS 4S or blizzak LM32 which ride as hard as stock 3R.

Doubles as mediocre autox vehicle

I think we all need to understand where we live to take the ZLE's ride into consideration. As someone who lives in the NE US, the roads are absolute garbage.

If someone lives in the South, they are bound to have a better experience as snowfall / ice melts etc. aren't an issue.

Did not make the switch have both, ride is close to the same with the 1LE is firmer, IMO.

Apparently the 6MT ZL1 1LE is the purest iteration of the car therefore, it is stiff and will require your spleens to be fixed by a chiropractor. Again, all of this will be less of an issue in areas where the tarmac is super smooth. Forget driving into major cities as you and the car WILL hurt.
Dont think there was a change on the shocks in the A10, cars are the same other then the trans.

The rear damper tuning is different for the ZL1 1LE models with the automatic transmission compared to the manual transmission in order to accommodate the quicker shifts in weight transfer.

This is truth. I feel the difference every time I switch cars.

Chevy stated that the shocks were tuned differently in their press release.

Live in NH heard so many complaints about the ride quality that i had to test drive one before I made the deal. On the test drive my wife who is not a car person at said "people complain about the ride quality on these? Don't they realize it's a performance car?" We bought one last year and neither one of us complain about the ride or wish we didn't purchase because of the ride. My daily driver rides way worse (2017 gmc 2500hd duramax)

The roads are pretty much ass here in Colorado too, but honestly the the ZLE rides the best of any car I've ever owned which was otherwise this stiff. The DSSV's are absolutely amazing and I have been very impressed that as stiff as the car is it has developed ZERO rattles, squeaks, clunks over the first 1000 miles. I fully expected it to be a rattlecan pretty quickly from the beating it gives itself but I have been very pleasantly surprised.

I am running Michelin PS4S's at 32psi. Very glad I went with the 1LE over the regular ZL1.

I do normally believe the Mfr.. but for a parts catalog I would note that you can't always believe them either. I've had to return parts before because of incorrect parts numbers for cars that I've rebuilt in the past.

So which is right? dunno maybe I'll go look at one at the local dealer to see if it's stamped with the same part number for real... but I don't actually care that much.
