Comparison SS, ZL1 if possible
So the SS Camaro has it's own 1LE like the ZL1 has it's ILE right? If so are they different only in power, disregarding price?

They're completely different trim levels. 1LE is only an add-on package to that trim level. Lot of differences.

While both 1LE models only come in a 6 speed, the ZL1 version is much more extreme in suspension and aero.

So the SS version (1LE) has no suspension upgrades just looks mostly, right?
And if it had suspension upgrades above an SS, it's not even close to a ZL1 base let alone a ZL1 1LE, right? |

Standard ZL1 and SS 1LE suspensions are very similar. Most components are identical with the unknown being spring rates on the ZL1. It has a heavier power plant so logical thinking says its spring rates may be higher (not confirmed that I know of). The ZL1 1LE has suspension very similar to the Gen5 Z28. In essence, the regular ZL1 and the SS 1LE are close to, if not identical from a suspension perspective. The ZL1 1LE is a completely different animal.

The 1LE on the SS is only available on the SS. So some options will not be available. On the ZL1, the 1LE has all the options except for the sunroof and A10. So there is a bit of a difference between getting the SS with 1LE vs getting the ZL1 with 1LE.

I like that the SS 1LE is very close to the base ZL1 suspension. It's kind of like a Camaro C7 GS mixture. I'll take the HP always first though. |

Modifying cars isn't for everyone, but it's an awesome option for someone capable of doing their own work/tuning. I still can't decide whether I want to build my own "poor man's ZL1", or get a real one. I know I won't be disappointed either way. It'll probably come down to how prices look in the Fall. |

I would. If the car weighs 3000 lbs.
