So I guess there won't be an SS just yet. If this is true, then that kinda sucks. Hmm, where did all this talk of, "the LS2 is dead" come from anyway? |

If any rumors of a Chevelle start popping up I am definitely waiting until 2011 to see what happens. I guess the TA is gonna get heads and a cam for now.

2011 Chevelle?
according to a member's local chevy dealership manager, GM has recently re-trademarked the name Chevelle, could we be looking at another classic muscle car ressurection in the coming years?

I don't know about that. It's definitly a possibility. But I think that Impala, Camaro, GTO, and Vette (missing any?), is the extent of the "classic" muscle car restoration. It's not the 70's or 80's any more. The market for fast cars is there, but I don't think it's nearly as large as it once was. What with the foriegn marketers poking their noses in, and the whole fuel issue. I'm not sure we'll see a Chevelle restoration. BUT I could soooooo be wrong. In fact, I want to be wrong on this.
I have heard though, and it's not entirely off-topic, that the El Camino is coming back in 2011. Google "2011 Chevelle" and a bunch of El Camino articles pop up. |

It is possible because Holden seems to have kept the traditional aspects of the El Camino…

If GM wants to bring back the El Camino, they better only plan on selling a few of them. I don't see it as practical in this day and age. Then again, I could be wrong...
BUT...I would REALLY love to see what kind of ideas GM has for a Chevelle. I mean, if GM could do it like Dodge is doing the Challenger and only make a limited production run. I'd seriously love to see what kind of new age retro design they could come up with. The old 70' Chevelle SS is just about my favorite old true musclecar. I'd love to see it back on the roads. |

I thought the Chevelle came first and then the Malibu was a type of Chevelle.

actually chevelle and malibu were different trim levels of the mid size chevy coupe/sedan/wagon. in 78 the malibu became it's own car, and it was more faithful in size and spirt to the original chevelles of the mid 60s .
I'm not only an Malibu fan, I'm a former Malibu owner .
