Now the tests out, ZL1 over hyped
I can`t say I am blown away or excited about the ZL1 now that tests are out.
Sorry it doesn`t live up to all the hype. The boss is more impressive IMO with less motor. Prepare for MAJOR upset and butt hurt when they test it against the new GT500. Blue oval guys are gonna have a holiday with ZL1 |

Which article did you read? The Motor Trend article definitively stated, "The Camaro clearly came out on top of this fight."

And Motor Trend always leans toward the Mustang!

It better come out on top of the Boss302. We all know the Boss's big brother is around the corner. I have to say the ZL1 handles great in the track, but the straight line number is kinda slow. It's barely faster than the current GT500 or Boss302. |

I think the rewiews are right on point. GM was after a well balanced car, and that's what all the rewiews are showing. It's not all about straight line speed. You can have all the power and speed in the world's and it does no good if your car pushes like a dump truck or wheel hops around turns.
Just ask a pro driver what's more important, power or balance. They will all say balance, because balance equals speed.

Catch me if you can

I don't know about you, but if I'm taking either car to the track I want to be as relaxed as possible when I race. There is no need to come out of a car looking like you ran a marathon.
The ZL-1 makes it so you the driver can focus on consistant track times rather than trying to keep the car on the road.

OP you Sir are one of the few that realizes this. Props to you. The ZL1 can handle its ass off, but I dont know of many Tokyo Drifters around my area. The KOTS is straight line performance. There is no disputing that. Now to all those who think I am a blue oval fanboy, Id take a ZR1 over all any day

What does a Tokyo Drifter or Yakuza have to do with a ZL1 discussion?

well will see when it goes up against the GT500
apparently they sorted out traction and handling issues for 13 model Only hype so far on GT500 is hp and top speed I was expecting the ZL1 to be faster in straight line, but then again GM said the L99 would be faster than LS3 in 0-60 before they were released and we all know hype doesn`t always mean right :( |

If you wanted a 1/4 mile brawler.. You picked the wrong car.. It's simply not set up for that as a primary focus. |
