Yes I know the top picture is of a Shelby, but are there many differences?

I like the big knobs in the Camaro. I haven't seen them yet but the guage cluster seems like more of a cutsey add-on to me rather than something that will be actually useful. And I REALLY wish it had a big touch-screen in the center console that ran the radio and GPS.

These are MINOR though... I still love Cammy's and really dislike the Mustangs (Yes I've driven several). The 2010 Camaro is very close to perfection for me. It's minor little weirdnesses that bug me. Then again I have yet to see one in person - this is all just based on pictures - so maybe I am completely wrong here.

Cheers!
Is it just me, or does the driving position in the Camaro seem more upright? The steering wheel is over the line of the dash? I will sit in one this week to confirm, but wonder what others that have driven think.

Not get blown away.....and maybe win some of the races. With the right driver the Camaro will be right there with the GT500.

Actually thats the angle of the pic. From sitting in both if you dont adjust the Camaro seat you sit much lower in the Camaro than the mustang

LOL in a year, Chrysler will stuff their 6.4 in the challenger which = 505 HP 525 TQ and you have the 540 HP GT500

face it, in a couple of years without the Z28, Ford and Dodge will smoke chevy

So GM would have no choice but to run a limited amount of Z28's

Pray we are that lucky, Phony wars are back baby !!!!

yea its getting real interesting and honestly if I had the money I would have a 3 car garage with one of each in them! I am a Car lover and mostly American muscle and Italian Autos. So I like all three the Chally, Camaro and Mustang!

Regardless, how is that comparison fair?

The GT500 is damn near 50K?!?!?

why the heck are you guys comparing the 2SS to a $50,000 GT500?

for $15,000 extra to spend in mods... I could build a small vacation resort in a Camaro.

I hadn't seen the new Mustang interior. That's what the fuss is all about?
Okay, I feel better now about Camaro interior. Wow, the way people talked
the interior on the Mustang was the best thing since sliced bread. Not so much.

I hate to say it, but laid out like that fdjizm has a point.

Especially on the stereo, that bugs the hell out of me. I DO NOT like having custom stereo non-din openings. Especially paired with the overly complex and expensive harnesses GM uses. I love my Chevy, but I really wish GM would have put in a single din straight up easy stereo with a single din HID to make life easier.

However, believe it or not, I like on-star navigation better. It's so much easier to hit the button, tell the lady where you want to go, then she figures it out and loads it in. At $10/month it would take many many months before a factory nav is paid for. You can even say things like get me from a to b and I want to avoid Qwest field. It's really pretty cool.

The press doesn't give that feature enough credit.

Beyond that though- that Mustang interior is cleaner (and the GT500 doesn't look that much different than the 09 gt w/leather).

Sorry for the mini-rant.
