Drive Shaft Coupler to Differential Flange Alignment

Hey guys. I'm hoping some of you can set my mind at ease regarding this issue.

I removed my rear diff to do a gear swap, but I didn't mark the drive shaft coupler and differential flange to ensure I put them back together the same way they came apart. Will this cause any issues if I don't have the same holes lined up when I put it back together? Vibrations, etc.?

Thanks to everyone in advance for your help.

If it is a stock driveshaft probably will not be an issue. An aftermarket shaft is almost always balanced together and could be an issue. The fix is pretty easy, just drive it and if no vibration your good. If it vibrates undo it, rotate it one hole and try again until vibration is gone.

It lines up with the trans tail-shaft flange.

The "Y" portion of the shaft matches the rear, so if you are looking at the
trans tail, and see "Y", then it will be the same at the differential. IT can be
upside down, or sideways, the "Y" match it up as long as you did not turn the
froward portion of the shaft, and left it stationary.

I just did a complete SS cradle swap. I turned the LABEL of the forward shaft
facing down, and noted where where the three prongs were, and position of the
u-joints. So, when I put the SS rear portion on, I positioned its U-joints the same
way.

The rubber couplers? The position doesn't matter as long as the correct holes are aligned. Even marking the diff isn't necessary, as it also isn't balanced with the shaft.

This is what I was hoping to hear.
Thanks.

I got everything back together now. No vibrations. Either I'm lucky, or it doesn't matter.
