Improperly installed?! lol It's not like there are a variety of ways to do this installation. It installs one way and there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room to make it straight. I loosened mine and tightened everything down 3 to 4 times when doing the installation and the filter was still not straight every time

It looks to me like the tube is not completely seated to the throttle body. Loosen the clamps and push the tube in all the way until it contacts the throttle body. This will also raise the tube a bit and give you a flush seal at the box. Hold the pipe in place if needed as you tighten the clamps. I had the same problem with mine and the above cured the problem.

that pic is actually with it touching the TB and backed out just a hair to keep it from rubbing. i have taken the dang thing off and on with and without the boots and nothing makes it straight. on the plus side they did offer to send another tube to see if it fits better.

CAI has different tubes based upon configurations. Problem is they are not stamped with part no#.
