New guy

Hi guys , been reading and learning here for awhile . I have a 2015 Green Flash L99 with around 6000 miles , I want to add some power options so it would be stronger from a dead stop . It's a great car have been looking into maybe a supercharger and some exhaust . I'm not looking for massive power ,it's just another toy to play with . I'm sure this has been asked before but you guys are the expert with knowledge and experience. Please give me some advise .
Thanks

I would recommend learning your way around the Forum as there is so much information posted covering exactly what your looking for! There is enough to write several books, the "Search" will be your best friend, once read come on back with the questions and trust me these people will bend over backwards helping you!

Welcome to the Forum too!

I just noticed your from Dayton, I flew to Dayton some years back to purchase my Camaro! Couldn't find what I wanted here in Coastal NC! I purchased a 2014 with 4K on the clock, never a regret!

Welcome to the camaro family.

Now all you have to do is make sure you don't dig to deep in your wallet.

Congrats on your new to you ride! If you're after some mods that will wake it up but not make it crazy, cold air intake, long tube headers, and a tune will make a world of difference for you. If you are still after more power, you could go with a supercharger and/or a cam.

New to forum page

Hi I'm new to this forum site. One of my Grandsons are going to give it a go and fix up my Sons 1983 Camaro. My son Josh died in a car wreck in 2008 and was 20 years old. It took me 2 days to get the old radiator hose off. I got the end by the engine off however the other end is not being nice. The body of the car is in the way of the clamp and the hose is refusing to fit. I took off the coolant and serpentine belt along with the right front tire. Any and all input appreciated as we are fairly new mechanics.

Your first cheap big mod that should be done is a set of 3.91 gears best bang for the buck an will make the car react quicker off the line. But will require a speedometer correction. Then start saving for a DOD delete. While your doing your DOD delete figure out what the purpose of the car will be; drag, road race/HPDE, or auto x and mod accordingly.

Welcome to the Camaro family sir !! Like has been mentioned, CAI,LT's, maybe a ported TB, and a good tune will wake your car up a lot. If you don't want to go that route yet, a set of 3.91 gears and a 3200 stall converter will get the 4000lb brick moving off the line pretty quickly. Also I did a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft that made a world of difference transferring the TQ to the wheels quicker. Lots of stuff you can do to it. As said, search around and figured out what your goals are going to be with the car and just go with it. Lots of folks on here willing to help, including me, as I have been helped by these guys for the last 10 years!! Great group of folks. Thanks everybody..

I was thinking the 3.91 gears and a x pipe might help the sound some . I'm sure there are alot more I'll be doing , it's just a toy .
