Encountered a 392 challenger

Commuting home today and cruising along at 70 mph about 3 lengths behing the car in front of me, I was locked on a station paying tribute to Beastie Boys and it brought me back to my high school days so I had the volume cranked to some brass monkey I noticed him coming up fast and he pulls along side of me. I glance over and could see him checking out the camaro, we exchange the same shit azz eating grin, I point at his car and give the old' nod up and he pulls in front of me giving me full view of the 392 badge. My heart starts pumping like crazy and 1st reaction was to pass him then "challenge" him but I managed to calm myself down and lets not mention I intend on keeping my record clean and low insurance rate. I love to the look of the challenger but let's face it, it's not a Chevy. I followed him for about a mile then I passed him and pulled in front of him giving him full view of the camaros rear.
A few miles later he pulls out and I can hear him get on it as he pulls along side then exits as he is even with me. My 1st "muscle" car and my 1st encounter with the enemy. I was amped up and ready but That felt really good for what ever reason. I freaking love this car!

seems likely if you can beat the s/c 6.1, the 392 should be easy too

Street racing is stupid anyway so it's good you didn't. On the track is much better.

I won't race on the street. On my way home from work I stopped off at the track. (Alaska raceway park) Season starts in a week and First test and tune is next Sunday. I think I could sneak away in the afternoon and do a couple of runs. I met the owner of the track and he gave me a schedule for the season. I have never run the quarter mile but I want to see what I can do in stock form. I will be using race fuel and car totally stock. All local pumps sell only 90 octane so I think race fuel will help. Each time I do a mod I will see if it changes my times on the track.

I dont really get why there cant be a little info exchange regarding some friendly romp sessions. Oh well. I ran across one this weekend as well. All there was to be seen was "SS" Badges from the rear bumper.

They are fast, low 12s stock has been done by quite a few owners. I ran across one at the mexican track, put a car length on me. Didnt get a time slip.....
