I know I have the A8, but I enjoy pushing it for the pops when getting on the freeway if no one is in front of me.. no cops run radar "on" the ramp, right? It's best when you have another sports car behind you failing miserably to keep up.

I recently heard of NLS and thought I'd give it a try. I floored it in 2nd gear since I was already rolling and when I hit third it felt like a bang to the drivetrain. What could I have done wrong? I'm a little afraid to try it again.

Not to mention fighting my natural instinct to lift shift like I've done for so long.. lol

NLS Doesn't feel natural

Tried it at the track, it BANGS in, but that's what these cars are made for. And it's covered under warranty.

The bang was probably the "backfire" sound I was speaking of. Did it come from the back of the car?

This! Stab clutch while ripping the shifter...should be able to powershift with out the ECUs help but guess you cannot turn the feature off...drove all the muscle cars, new, (yep old) all we did when racing was powershift. Otherwise you were called for Sunday driving. And that is when some of the 400s etc had a red line of 5600...miss a shift, lift quickly...

Gen6 to me would be a try and learn. Make sure tires are really warm and have some room. With nls control may not be such a risk...would love to try it. Soon I do hope.

I used it for 5 years on my cobalt ss turbo its violent to the car but I shaved close to half a second off a quarter mile time once mastered (they need this feature until bolted and tuned) to unlock what that car could do in the quarter stock.

I'm not a fan of it I think it's bad for the car even if it was designed that way it's a hell of a bang sometimes...that said it never broke once tuned and bolted I didn't use it anymore due to you didn't need it anymore and it had to be bad with 370 pounds of torque on a 2.0 motor.

Not sure about the camaro I haven't tried it on my car 2500 kilmoters was all it saw I didn't have time for it last year with work.(away for winter now)

Tips: don't be afraid to get rough 0.02 of a second type shifting fast and precise help keep it going through the gears.

I thought I originally read just the V8 cars do, but there is a thread saying the turbo 4 guys have discovered they have it as well that I saw a few weeks ago...so who knows, you very well might.

I tried it again and think I got it now. I have to make a conscience effort not to instinctively lift my right foot. I got the tires to chirp all the way through 3rd in a short little NLS test this morning.

Cool, did you hear the gunshot like backfire sound on the shift into second? You should have if you did a full on NLS.

Nothing like that. I was making a u-turn and trying to beat a light so I probably did the NLS 1st through 3rd and let off.

I'll try it some more though. Want to run through a good 1st to 4th pull using this method.

The 2.0T for sure has the feature as I use it often. I get a backfire as well, not a loud as an SS but def a good pop.
