Post Magnuson2650R Pulley/belt questions

I have a magi2650 coming up for my A10 Zl1 i also have intake/headers and meth injection on my car with a Jms volt booster, 103mm throttle i am thinking of going up to 16 psi with a 80mm griptec upper pulley and a stock lower, i am wondering how much power will i be making with these mods, i also am wondering what is the belt size for a 80mm 8rib upper and the standard lower pulley.

80mm pulley will increase boost 3-4psi. You’ll be way over 16. More like 18. I wouldn’t put that pulley size on with just meth. You don’t have a cam?

I have the 90mm and I’m just right under 15 or 15 based on air conditions.

No, i don’t have a cam on, i talked to magnuson department and they told me to go with a 80mm for 16-15 psi and that the standard 90mm will give me 13-14 psi only, what are your exact mods/numbers?

Magnuson 2650 90mm, kooks 2” headers, borla 3” cat back, nw 103 tb, mm catch can, NO CAM, NO METH, right at 700rwhp on a dyno jet and I’m at fueling limits.

Based on your info, i should be able to push 15-16 with a 90mm.. must’ve been a bad call from the salesman, still i am trying to push 780-800 whp but i dont think its possible with my current mods.

My car saw 15-16psi with the 90mm pulley with the 2650R. An 80mm pulley is going to be 18+, the blower will move the air easily...going to run out of fuel though.

Not 16, 15 I’d say unless your revving past 6500. That’s quite a bit of meth to be pumping at wot with an 80mm without a cam.

What’s it hitting now on the dyno and what boost? Adding a cam will get you to that goal.

I guess i’ll have to use the standard 90mm for now until i get some more supporting mods on, still didn’t run it on the dyno waiting for my turn within a few days, i will hit you up with any updates.

Yeah you need to get it on the dyno and tuned and see where your fueling is before you even think about adding more boost.

No intake? Have you considered a DSX aux fuel or voltage booster?

I'm still tuning my old Camaro for the new owner. We were on the dyno a while back and with the 80mm pulley, stock lower we were 14 lbs of boost, it has cam, headers and no cats. However if your on stock exhaust, no cam I think you'll see about 16-18 on the 80mm and probably about 12-13 on the 90. Every 5mm is about 1.5 to 2 psi of boost. Remember some will depend on your elevation, I don't know what that is in Kuwait. Good luck and have fun with it.

THIS

When I was tuning in about 90* weather, I was seeing about 14-15-psi (mods in signature). As soon as temps' got into the lower 60s, I was seeing a couple pounds more, with no other mechanical changes. I'm at sea level, and can get pretty good DA around here.

Agree...DA plays a huge factor in the amount of boost made. I see a 3 psi difference from 90 degree weather vs 50 degree weather.
