So as far as the 2SS options go, I like the upgraded Bose Audio, Phone Charging platform would be welcomed. Heated and Cooled seats would be nice as there are high 40 to low 50's mornings that transition to 80's in the afternoon her in WI. Dual Zone HVAC as well, my wife and I are quite the opposite too. The illuminated door sills are kinda neat, but not a necessity. The traffic assist systems are ok, but everything else I don't really care about (i.e. Interior spectrum lighting package... who cares?!). Problem #2... I really like the Krypton Green (1SS only being a '17 MY option only). HBM is great too, but thats what everyone around me has......

A couple of points on your post...

The phone charging platform is a joke, it is too small and barely works even if you have a phone size from 1995.

Regarding the seats, the seats aren't really cooling, there is just a fan under there that cycles air up thru the perforated seats. So you are at mercy of the ambient air temp. in the cabin. It's very sporadic on how efficient it is, sometimes great, sometimes you can't even tell.

Either you’re unlucky or I’m lucky, as my seat cooling works amazingly well! I run it with the windows down and no AC, and it does great. Better than my Ford truck cooled seats! I wouldn’t consider a 1SS myself for that reason (among others).

Although the charging pad size is a problem indeed, the electronics itself are good, one can even upgrade the charging unit to the latest standard for $75. The thing reliably charges my 2017 model phone every time. When the time comes to upgrade the phone, I'll buy a spare rubber charging mat and slice off the short edges that create the restriction, size problem solved.

The seat cooling works in tandem with the A/C and picks up cold air nicely from the floor area. Granted, it's just a fan and thus not ideal without A/C, but one typically does turn that on anyway when it's hot inside, right?

So yes, these things could be better, but they're not a joke IMO, the BMW's and Mercedes-Benz's etc. that have better solutions either cost twice as much or lack the driving capabilities we love.

Seems I will just have to find one to try out and see if any of it is worth it to me... Anyone know if a '19 2SS 1LE made any changes to those options or did they all stay the same. I.e., I could just hit up a dealer an look at a '19 (but never purchase cause I can't stand the new look)?

I'm pondering the same thing right now on my 2020 order. Since it is going to be a daily driver for me the only real thing that would radically sway me is the radio upgrade and possibly the seats as it does get hot here in Texas and if it's like the Vette seats the cooling would be nice on the hot weekends on track.

I drive my 1LE daily in heavy traffic. With rev-matching, the stick is trivial to drive. I prefer the aggressive look of the 1LE (wheels, splitter, hood), the amazing braking, and the seats. I won't likely track my car because I don't have time to get into it, but the 1LE is just super cool.

I would go with a ZL1 since cost is not a problem for you. The Recaro seats are comfortable to me as compared to the 2016 2SS I used to have. The 650 hp is not a problem either as you get used to having extra hp pretty quick while you drive and learn about the car. I really liked my SS but when I got my Z it’s a whole different Camaro in a good way. Get a ZL1 is my advice to you!

Original post was back before 2SS 1LE was an option. It was only 1SS at the time. Just FYI.
