people who know where there is money to be made.

there's plenty of people who say the same thing about performance parts for our cars that never see the track, or lift kits for trucks that never go off road and have 48 tvs in the cab.

I just don't get this trend. I've seen lots of LX cars like this and it makes me cringe every time. I serves no functional purpose at all and adds tons of additional stress to the drivetrain and suspension. Not to mention it will kill your mpg, acceleration, and braking.

At least for those who jack up their trucks, they CAN go muddin' even if they never do. The same goes with the power/handling upgrades for cars. You may never make it to a track, but it all works so that you could.
