went to tn this weekend and drove the foothills parkway tail of the dragon fontana rd around fontana dam friday and the cherohala skyway around 1030 at night with the full moon out it was great! we need to get a group of camaros to go up and do all of that its some great driving

When I had my Sky the Sky/Solstice Forum would have a get together up there every year. We would stay at Fontanna Village. Unfortunately we always seemed to have some that drank too much and would drive afterwards, not a good combination anywhere but really bad up there and some didn't make it back in one piece.

oh wow yea drinking then driving those kinds of roads is really bad!

The biggest problem I've had up there is the bikers going slow in the corners than hauling butt on the straightaways(such as they are) and they simply will not pull over for my car.
Its really dangerous because I come into a turn and then I see the motorcycle that was 100' or more ahead now only 25'.
Always go during the weekdays.

I've gone 4 times in the last two years. I don't go during the long weekend when everyone goes. I go during the week, when almost no traffic.
Took my 4gen and rented a Vette.

the DRAGON is a blast,my brother has a cabin outside gatlinburg thats 20min away tops.go up every year in july and Mon-Thurs are the best days.F,S,S, they bring up extra leo's cause they know there will always be an accident. thinking of doing THE SNAKE next year.
