GM Emissions Testing Program
Here's a good laugh. I received a letter in the mail from GM requesting the use of my vehicle for emissions testing. They want it for 4 weeks and they are going to put 150 dyno miles plus transit miles to and from the testing facility. For this, they're offering me $500 and a rental. I don't think so! Anyone else ever receive one of these?

You should scan the letter and post it. I wouldn’t do it if they offered $5,000.

That’s a great deal for GM if someone accepted it. I agree the compensation is waaaay too low for anyone on this site to likely accept

It's been a few years, but yes I've gotten that same letter before, yes I agreed to it, but in the end they never contacted me.
I'd guess that they start out sending letters to a group of owners that are noted to own the type of car they need to test, then from the responses, they pick which ones they'll contact. |

No way I would agree to that. Maybe a scam!

Just got that letter. I also thought $500 was nowhere close and they didn't say where the site is so transit miles could be anything. Denver to Detroit and back + 150 dyno miles and 30 days for $500? No thanks!
