Mileage 2017 and 2018's Check in

A lot of threads stating that 2017/2018s may have issues, such as with oil pump.
This thread is for those of us with 2017's and 2018s
How many miles and did you have any issues with vehicle?

I'll start

2017 ZL1 Original owner - 1200 miles no issues, I know it's low. I did buy a new battery from GM this year, but that was wear and tear, cost me $149 after a discount.

2017, bought new. Currently at 12,400 miles.

Had a headlight changed out under warranty as one of the LEDs was out. And that’s about it.

2018, bought new, 16800 extremely pleasant and fun miles.

Driver side cylinder head had a core shift from the factory and developed a tiny crack under pressure, pissing coolant into the oil. Replaced. (Truth is the car has a little more than stock power via mods including FI, so I'm not blaming this straight on the factory, it might have survived in stock form.)

Illuminated door sill plates peeled up (on both sides... WTH GM?). Replaced under warranty.

A couple tiny paint imperfections. The HUD is slightly crooked like it is on all 2016-2018s.

Oh, and one more thing that isn't about the car itself, when I moved state and re-registered the car, my entire online service history disappeared from my gm profile, never to return. So much for even thinking about going paperless, good thing I have every dealership invoice...

2nd owner with 15500. Purchased in January with 12000 and no known issues. Currently sitting at Chevy for the 2nd time in the past 60 days for transmission issues. 7 months of ownership and 35 days spent out of my possession on warranty work. I’ve never been so happy to have bought an extended warranty in my life

2017 with 19k miles. The few OEM parts that were on the car to start with have been great.

Sorry to hear about the tranny. Is it how it shifts?

2017 with 37,679 miles. I bought her stone stock back in May of 2020 with about 22K miles. Her OEM parts have been stout and have supported the mods without a whimper.

Yeah when I purchased it shifted smooth as anything like my (old) 2020 LT1. But after about 2k miles or so of just learning the car, no burnouts, no launches, spirited drives on weekends it started shifting harsh under light loads in a higher gear, they “fixed” it after 20 days.. they replaced the valve body, solenoids, gaskets, fluids. I noticed that the issue I took it in for was fixed but noticed that the 1-2 shift seemed a little different, didn’t think much of it because the initial issue was fixed and 1-2 wasn’t noticeable. Couple weeks go by and I just noticed that 1-2 upshift just didn’t want to act right so now they have it back. Needless to say when I get it back I’m going to take it out myself for a decent test drive and if anything’s wrong it goes right back for a 3rd time. I know sometimes the 3-4 shift has a little buck under heavy acceleration but that is not either of these issues. Haven’t heard anything back from tech, dropped her off 2 weeks ago Monday for the 2nd time. They said it would be 2 weeks before anyone looked at it

Original owner. 2018 ZL1 with 30.6k miles. No issues. Original battery (seeing as people on the forum say these batteries don't last more than 3 years in this car).
