Ive been looking for a 1LE diff as well, and yeah, good luck! I know for the dealer to swap in 3.91's into an SS rear end is about 1700 otd thats with the gears from GM. So base your pricing from there? Waiting to hear back from a local shop up here to see what they say....

Good to know. I am now wondering if I do this swap on my V6… will my traction control button still work when needed/not needed?

I would imagine so. The traction controls on these cars are I believe electric, and have zero to do with the differential. At least thats how it is on my Taco. Ive been reading alot about the 1LE swap and have seen nothing to the contrary.

I've not seen anyone else mention an issue with traction control.

Could check any junk yards around you for a cheap SS diff and have someone install new 3.91 gears. Don't know which way would be cheaper but it's option.

I also found this listing in Jupiter. It actually looks like a decent setup for the money.

Sadly most are too far from me. When I used to live in South Florida over 4 years ago… I would drive to a U Pull It junk yard from time to time. They have a good number of Camaros there of mostly 3rd Gen and up. I’m too far from any junkyards now. Also since I am a mail carrier working for USPS… it’s not often I get time off and when I do its with the family. Visiting Junk yards isn’t on their list ha!

Good ha! I saw the new gaskets were added along with BMR bushings plus Free Shipping… I knew it was a good deal. Tried to negotiate for $1200 since the seller is only less than 2 hrs away from me. No go. Went ahead and purchased. Most others were selling for more on a higher mileage set up without the other items included or goodies.

FYI, you likely get a good amount of drivetrain noise with those bushings. Not sure how much you daily the car.
