Rev Match
Is it normal for the Rev Match to rev when you take the car out of gear, before you shift into a lower gear? It's like it sometimes revs when in neutral, not even trying to downshift.
Thanks ! |

If it's just sitting there in neutral it's not normal but if you're putting it into neutral and maybe "jiggling" the knob it definitely will because it's trying to predict what you're going to do.

Mine does. I dont downshift to 1st but I get a rev for it as I'm slowing down. I find it weird it does that but I'm used to it now

Thanks guys. It's a 2024 and I have less than 300 miles on it, so I wasn't sure if it's a normal thing or not. Thinking about it, it does seem to be in the lower gears, I haven't really noticed it in higher gears. It's kind of a weird feeling when you pull the shifter out of gear, and it revs a bit before you even try to put it in a lower gear.

Normal. I’m on my 2nd 6th Gen and both of them did it. Normally happens when I’m coasting to a stop and I shift to neutral. It thinks I want to go to first.
