New Owner CEL
Hey everyone,
Just picked up a 2018 ZL1. Prior owner did a muffler delete and a secondary cat delete. The vehicle has giving a p2099 and p0430 code. What would be the best way to get this taken care of? |

Start woth the easy stuff. Check for an intake leak and passenger side exhaust leak. If not that, try the rear O2 sensor on bank 2 (passenger side). Could be dirty MAF or malfunctioning cat, but my money is on exhaust leak or replace rear o2 on that side.

You probably have an exhaust leak on the bank 2 straight pipe that was welded close in proximity to the sensor 2 O2 sensor and the owner before you probably didn't use NPP bypass modules. Hence your codes (I am assuming that's what the 2099 code is, without referring to my code chart).

No, p2099 is still post cat stuff. Likely an exhaust leak or bad o2

fix the exhaust leak...likely at the spot where the secondary cats were deleted and didn't get properly welded on the top side of the pipe.
