The deposit is required industry wide on custom built wheels. Many people pick specific finishes and offsets, built to their own tastes and fitment. The deposit is a commitment that you are buying and not "tire kicking", or not going to change your mind next week and leave the vendor hanging on a set of inventory that he may not be able to sell. It is just how the industry works. I've had sets of Forgestar wheels sit in my warehouse for 2-3 months before, because they weren't the right color for someone, or weren't the deep concave rears. While I can afford to do this, I'd rather have the customer pick exactly what they want instead of settle on something that costs so much. It isn't really a "game" as you state, it is a process.

Definitely a Rushforth dealer! I had the first 2010 Camaro with Rushforth wheels installed, and helped Jason get the exact fitments/offsets.

BOSS took 6 weeks to make & deliver our rims. We put our name on their list.
If the factory is in the middle of a run, making another style rim..
You might be in for a wait....

Wheels take time. Mine took almost 2 months after putting in the order with Nine Ball, but it was well worth the wait.

Because others ordered sooner than you did, and Spring/Summer are always the busy months for wheel builders. If you want wheels built sooner, order them at the beginning of winter.
