Yeah but let’s hope he’s wrong about the $169k starting price.

That's just a guess based on spy photos.

The rendering in that Carscoop article is the best looking vision of the C8 I've seen yet. They make those side inlets not look out of place and the nose makes more sense somehow. Even love the copper metallic color choice. It's one I wish they offered on more GM performance vehicles lately. I would've chose a copper metallic over hyper blue or nightfall gray on my 6th gen.

As for the interior, that center stack screen doesn't slide up or down anymore? Where are 'Vette loyalists going to stash their .45 EDC's?

And for the price, let's all hope Lutz is right AND that they don't jack the price up 20% on year 2 after more discovered bugs are dealt with. If it is going to be as light as claimed, I'd be ok with just a LT1 HO around 500/500 under the rear bonnet. Just screams "give me a procharger and I'll make McLaren's cry".

I guess CorvetteForum guy thought the surprise reveal for NAIAS would be the C8. Turned out to be the Cadillac EV.

Oh well. On to New York I guess.

Maybe they'll throw everyone for a loop and do a surprise reveal at the Canadian International Autoshow in ~5 weeks.

I'd be surprised if even GM knows when the C8 will launch. This is turning out to be their NSX/Supra. Why else would they be rushing out sticker packages... I mean special editions?

Difference is ... I don't think that GM has even acknowledged the existence of the C8 program. I think the NSX was shown several years before it was finally ready. Toyota was a bit more cagey about the Supra. They said they were working on a sports car with BMW 4 or 5 years ago, but mostly refused to call it a Supra until the very end.
