Polished is a more of a nice, cruiser color.
Black wheels look intimidating, racecar color. IMO. It depends on the car and the driver. Yours looks great. I like.
This color is awesome(Blue Velvet). It may be what I upgrade to someday.

It really is a great color, thanks for sharing the pics of the ZL1's in BVM. I got the same color on my 1LE, and it is stunning. I think the pictures really don't do it justice, it looks like denim to me in person.

Here's my 1LE in BVM. If you haven't seen this color in person, it is hard to get a feeling for how nice it is by the pics. These are from the day I brought it home, 12/31/2014. I haven't driven it since because of teh crappy weather and it's killing me.

Guys it's not darker than Blue Ray Metallic,night race blue and sapphire blue.
BRM has a very dark base then tons of metallics to lighten it up.
Blue velvet is a fundamentally lighter shade of blue although it is dark like a navy blue.

The center color is sapphire blue/night race blue/blue ray metallic.

Well, from my eyes and actually seeing the cars side by side at the dealer, BVM looks a shade darker/bluer than BRM.
Maybe its the "what color is the dress bit - white/gold or blue/black?".

Looking at pics on your pc screen does not really reflect how these look in person.

I noticed the same thing. It will be harder to judge by pictures but on the onset the BVM seems to be brighter (even if its slight) and seems to have less metallic flake than BRM. BVM looks closer to BRM IMO than IBM or other shades of GM dark blue.
