"production has stopped" is pretty serious...
WHERE...on c5, the internet, other than magazines or news sites...
has GM OFFICIALLY stated that ZL1 Production HAS stopped?
I guess its pretty obvious it has as there are no new vins being supplied...
But even so.. WHERE does ANY official GM source say that production has stopped?

I don't think there has been an official statement from GM saying that production has halted. I'm pretty sure that was some inside information.

I was told by my GM rep that production has stopped but that the Camaro team is working overtime in getting the issue solved because the launch of this car is VERY important to GM and Chevrolet. Rest assured, they are trying very hard to get these cars out.

Surely they know what the problem is or why would they stop production? On a hunch? Don't think so. The problem is, it could be an issue that requires a new part or machine to be re-tooled. That could take a while to fix. Again, may be nothing serious, but who knows.

I heard tonight that has to do with a chip and is not a serious issue to resolve. Cannot confirm this, just a "for what it's worth" rumour...

Sorry to have to tell everyone but Drake Heminger is no longer with us !
It appears that he has been retained indefinitely for Assesment , if you know what I mean

Updates will be provided at a later date ( a lot later as a matter of fact ).Be assured that we are doing everything in our power to correct this matter.As you know sometimes these things take time.A lot of time.We will provide an update once additional information is availlable - but don't hold your breath.Please do not post continually asking about his condition.
