If they go ahead with this, could GM also be re-considering going EV-only with Cadillac? Otherwise what is the marketing value of a Cadillac-branded F1 team to the EV road car business? If so, there may yet be life in the Alpha platform...?

F1 is already Hybird(I know I spelled it wrong)

I would guess they are well on their way to the so called "Net Zero" BS

I thought I heard the F1 talking heads on Sky Sports saying that they voted NO last year to MA coming on board.

What does GM do if they're blocked?

They way GM is now, they'd want their foot in the door just to let their ESG department push F1 to bev's. Endurance racing is just a bit tough for batteries.

I think its more because the lower teams would get less prize money with another team on board.

What they would like is them to purchase an existing team but none are for sale.

Right. The total $$$ is now divided by 11 instead of 10.
