New ZL1 Owner for 2nd time

I think I am a bit stupid and a bit lucky.

Stupid...about two years ago I believed a virus was going destroy our economy, so I thought the responsible thing to do was to sell my 2013 ZL1 BRM mint car with 2800 miles for 32,500.00.

Lucky...spent the last year trying to get back into another ZL1 without over-paying and found a great dealership who gave me 1k below MSRP on a 2022. The owner told me there was a waiting list of people if backed out.

Very impressed by the A10 and the LT4, only put 100 miles on so far, but I love this car.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello again to the Camaro group after a two year absence I am back.

Congrats, after you get some miles on your 2022, you won't miss your 2013 one bit, the 2022 will drive circles around a 5th gen! LT4 and a 10L90 is an awesome combo, then add in the Alpha platform!

yep, I actually had them from my old 5th Gen that I never got around to installing before selling.

it's is pretty easy, the key is prep. I take the wheel off and clean with IPA until microfiber is clean. It literally takes 10-12 attempts, but eventually the towel will not turn dark. I put them on my Z71 Silverado years ago and they old up surprisingly well.

I am still in the "break-in" phase, so nothing over 4k RPM, but yes I can tell this thing is a beast. Anxious to get past 500 miles, but I live in Siberia, MN, so it will be awhile before I can drive it. Thanks!

I wouldn't say your decision was stupid. I mean, I had an allocation for a 2020 Corvette 2LT with Z51 package and front lift...I passed it up because I did not think it was a good time to buy an $80K car with soo much uncertainty. And now I'm making twice what I was making then. It is painful to think that right now I'd have a C8...but I made the right decision at the time...no, it was stupid. I made a stupid decision, lol!! And I kick myself every time I think about it.

Nice!!! I picked up my Nightfall Grey Metallic Z 3 months ago and love it. I would like to one day own a 5th gen ZL1 and a 6th gen ZL1 I went back and forth between buying a 5th gen and a 6th before deciding on the 6th gen due to it still having a powertrain warranty.

If you’re making twice what you were when you were thinking about a stingray then why not try to find a nice spot in line for a C8 ZO6?

Have you heard about the Omicron variant? How do you feel about it? If you're uncertain, I'll take your 2022 off your hands for $32,501.00

Congrats on the 2022! In a few years these types of vehicles are going to be desired by people in a panic, especially once GM announces an EV Camaro. I say in 2 years we may see another spike in the pricing for these vehicles. It's almost enough to make you want to buy 2 lol
