Sadly, the car industry is going to feel it too.

No one is or should be taken it lightly, but more people will die from the wheel this year than this thing.

About 20k deaths from the flu this year, you don't hear a word about it. I think because its a new virus its something to be concerned about but I don't think it will be anything more than the flu in the end.

it's the fear of the unknown that causes panic.

No, business as usual so far. They did release a statement today requiring people to self-quarantine if they have traveled, or been in contact with someone who tested positive.

The media is blowing this way out of proportion.
85% of people who get this virus have mild symptoms. Fever, coughing, sneezing. The remaining 15% also have shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Of those 15%, 2% have a fatality risk, 95% of the fatality risk is to people over 70, and people that already have a medical condition.

Our president has been for years stating that the US has been too economically dependent on China.
It's bad that it took the Coronavirus to prove this.
When he began imposing tariffs on China, the liberals predicted this "trade war" would hurt the US economy due to our reliance on China's cheap imports that we relied upon for so many years.
What happened instead was the Chinese economy took a hit, and the US economy surged to it's strongest performance in over 50 years.
The market has taken a hit due to the Coronavirus, but realize that when the president took office 3 years ago, the Dow was at 18,0000, It's still at 25,000 right now despite the hit...….7000 points up in 3 years despite the recent volatility due to the new virus.

With the huge surge the market had made to get to 29,000, a 10-15% correction at some point was going to happen anyway, taking it back to around 26,000.

27 people in the USA have died from the virus out of 327,000,000 who live here. Obviously there will be more.

Whenever your in a public place, wash your hands, use hand sanitizer, do not touch your hands to your mouth, eyes, nose, or ears unless you have washed/sanitzed them first.

If you have loved ones in nursing homes, and you have any symptoms at all, do not go and visit them. This is what happened in Washington State, where almost all the deaths have occurred. Stay away from elderly people, and people with medical conditions if you are sick.

This too will pass. Risk is low. This isn't like Ebola, which was far more deadly.

Oh who to believe the politicians, cable news or medical professional and Epidemiologist!? If you want to believe the politicians who call it a "hoax" or "fake news" then that`s on you, me myself I`ll take the word and the advice of medical professionals! I`m not willing to risk my health and the possibility of death by taking the word of a politician over the word of medical professionals and honestly neither should you but that`s your choice of who to trust and believe, I hope you make the right choice.

As lucky as homosapians seem to be at beating the odds for the last 300k years or so I wouldn't take anything lightly when it comes our existence. Anything can and will happen, you can bet on that some point in time. Everyone thought Trump was never going to make it but surprise surprise he did and who knows, he may be the very thing that pushes everything over the edge. Only time will tell, he has shaken the entire world.

You can tell when something comes along that people just can't handle the truth of it all. They gang up against it and try to fight it because they know it can tear their beliefs to shreds.

I’m the general manager of a gym. The busiest gym in my franchise with 2,000+ checkin’s a day. So I’m doomed. My company is taking it very serious. If an employee calls in sick or goes home feeling ill they have to bring back a clear coronavirus panel to start work again.

I am taking it ver seriously personally. Comparing it to the flu seems like a simpletons mistake. You don’t quarantine whole countries for the flu. You don’t send the National Guard to New York for the flu. You don’t drop interest rates for the flu. It’s bigger than that. Additionally, it’s not just the coronavirus that will impact the casualties once it spreads through the states more. It’s when people are more likely to die of heart attacks, strokes, car crashes ect. more often as the health care system is extra taxed from the coronavirus.
