I just used the regular bulb. Looking at the board, I'd be worried about one of the lights going out and having it not be perfect. I just bought the double pack of LED's from AAC and went that way. Yes, it lights up the whole car. I would, however, like to see how well these work in person.

I was looking for a little more light output from my dome light and just bought this. I'll post my thoughts once I get it installed today.

AAC stuff is top notch, bought two ABL kits from AAC for my camaro and my parents, orange and green and they are perfect and look awesome! Great customer service as well!

So as a follow up, I installed the 36 LED board last night and it is bright, and by bright I mean almost blinding. I am really thinking about ditching it b/c of how bright it is. Also, I had a ton of problems installing it. I don't know how AAC got it to fit with the cover on, but I had a ton of trouble. I ended up having to remove the silver reflector part and sanded down a hump that was in the way. I dont think there is anyway it fits in there without the dome light cover distorting. I PM'ed Jonathan about this, but got no response, which is disappointing.

I caution those that purchase this part that it is not as easy to install as they make it out to be and that it is blindingly bright. It definitely fills the interior with light, which is what I was going for, but the usability is shot down the window with it putting out so much light that it hurts your eyes. I'll try to grab some pics later today once it gets dark.

When you install you do need to take off the sliver plate and then center the board and reinstall the clear cover.
