Burnout in M6 LT1?

Good evening guys.

So I’m going to the track this weekend. I’m putting some Mickey Thompson’s on which require I burn them out a bit after the water box. Now…my burnouts suck. I’ve been revving up to 4K in 2nd gear then dumping the clutch… burn out a few seconds like 3-4? And the car stalls ….
Why is this happening? Don’t want to embarrass myself at the track. Do I have to press the gas all the way down? This is the only thing I can of I am perhaps not doing? Feel bad on car lol

Traction control is off.

You should be able to do it in 1st, the trick for me was you have to have enough pressure on the brake to not move but little enough for the rears to not clamp. I did enough to spin the wheels a few times, so maybe 2-3 seconds and about 4K Rpm seems right. I sucked at it also, so I quit doing tire warming and just went around the water.

Not sure why it is stalling. ABS or traction/stability control freaking out.

ATCO?

I hate to admit I've driven a manual all my life and I've never been able to do a decent burnout without messing it up. I either stall or the car will start moving because I let up off the brake cuz I don't want to stall it. I think my issue is I don't like hammering my car, especially the clutch and rest of the drivetrain.

is there car rolling? if so, i think stabilitrak is the culprit. heel toe it and you won't have an issue. 2nd gear is correct.

I do second, but with the slightest prep you might be surprised that you don’t even need a burn out
